2009 is turning out to be an interesting year. Rarely have females starred in animated feature films in a while. Of the widely released American animated films, I don't think there's been any in years. But 2009 has three: Coraline, Ginormica (aka Susan), and Tiana. Each, interestingly enough, from three different animation mediums: stop motion, computer animation, and traditional animation.
I loved the first two characters and I'll certainly love Tiana when The Princess and the Frog comes out. (I can't believe it's less than eight months away!)
Here is a group photo of the three starring heroines of 2009.
I bs'ed the background because I'll be gone for a week starting tomorrow. D:
I had done a portrait of Reese Witherspoon in art class and I was having some serious déjà vu drawing and coloring Susan.
Hope you guys had a great Easter!

2009 is a year of girl power! I also love our first two girls and I'm super excited for girl #3. Love their expressions.

I don't have a problem with canon, non-canon, straight, gay or any other of that nonsense. I have a problem with incest but as long as it isn't real life & it is drawn well I will pretend that they're not related for the sake of a job well done. Love wins

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
